Missouri Senate Art Exhibit
Two of our own RPEMS student artists will have their artwork on display at the new Senate Art Exhibit at Missouri's State Capitol. The Missouri Alliance for Arts Education (MOAEE) has created a gallery in the Capitol to display artwork from each legislative District. Artwork will be selected by MOAAE and the Senators to display throughout the year. We are a part of District 31 and Adeline Aube earned 1st and 4th place for her pieces and Cate Wilhite earned 2nd place. Each district will have 4 pieces on display in the exhibit.
Winners will be recognized during the MAEA Spring Conference. This will take place Friday April 10th at 9am in the Atkins Auditorium, of the Nelson-Atkins Museum, during Announcements and Keynote Speaker Carol Hockett.
Students in close proximity to Kansas City are welcome to attend. Individual names will not be called, but they will be acknowledged on stage alongside all other Senate Exhibit students and teachers. Photos will be taken, and students may leave right after recognition. After the ceremony would be a great opportunity for your students to see the Nelson-Atkins Museum.
Congratulation Adeline and Cate! We are so very proud of you!
