Have A Great Year!
Mrs. Palmer's (Ms. Dillon)Bio
I grew up in Connecticut and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Central Connecticut State University. I taught from 1994-1997 at Walhalla High School in South Carolina. After my second son was born I decided to be a stay at home mom and then we moved to Missouri and had a daughter. I ended up being a "stay at home Mom" for 7 years! I spent 9 years teaching Art at Raytown Middle School and now I am a RPEMS Husky! On 12.30.17 I got married again and my new name is Mrs. Palmer!
I love teaching Art to teenagers! They have the most fabulous ideas. I refuse to do "cookie cutter" projects because I want my students to put themselves into their art and make it meaningful and original. We will work on learning about different artists, art styles, art forms, drawing, painting, sculpting, printing and most of all creating and thinking! I expect my students to work on life skills such as problem solving, thinking, collaborating, critiquing, reflecting, and creating.
